Adam is a Senior Economist in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection having previously served in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution. His research interests span household finance, public economics, labor economics, small business dynamics, and financial intermediation. He is a non-resident scholar at the Georgetown University Center for Retirement Initiatives (CRI) within the McCourt School of Public Policy. Before joining the �౦��Ϸ����, Adam served as an Economist at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. During that time, he co-led the Retail and Behavioral Finance Working Group and served as the SEC’s primary economic advisor to the U.S. Financial Literacy and Education Commission (FLEC). Prior to his doctoral studies, Adam was a Research Associate at the Lewin Group and before that a Financial Advisor in the financial services industry. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in applied economics and an M.A. in statistics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania as well as a B.S. in decision theory from Duke University.
