• The �౦��Ϸ����'s accomplishments during the third quarter of 2005 include the following:
  
  
  • The �౦��Ϸ���� provided early assistance to consumers and bankers affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita by establishing a 24-hour hotline (1-877-ASK-�౦��Ϸ����) and a dedicated Web page ( www.�౦��Ϸ����.gov/hurricane ) with up-to-date banking information in the affected areas.
  • The �౦��Ϸ����, along with the other federal banking and thrift regulatory agencies and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), conducted a series of outreach events for the banking industry on the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) Examination Manual released on June 30, 2005.
  • The �౦��Ϸ����, the Federal Reserve Board and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency implemented the Central Data Repository (CDR), a secure, shared Web-based system to collect, validate and manage banks' quarterly Call Report data. The CDR system took effect beginning with third quarter 2005 Call Report data.
  • The �౦��Ϸ���� launched a summer-long media campaign to raise awareness of the importance of financial education in Hispanic communities across the nation, and promoted its free Money Smart financial education program.
