Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Chairman Jelena McWilliams issued the following statement on Dr. Janet Yellen鈥檚 confirmation as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury.

鈥淚 congratulate Dr. Janet Yellen on her historic confirmation as Treasury Secretary.  She has had an extraordinary career in public service and academia, and her many accomplishments serve as an inspiration to future generations.  I look forward to working with Secretary Yellen.鈥
